Modern Slavery Policy
Purpose
This policy sets out Cemplicity’s commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chain. We take a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships and business dealings.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All employees, officers, consultants, contractors, volunteers, interns, and temporary staff of Cemplicity.
- All suppliers, service providers, contractors, agents, and other business partners working with or on behalf of Cemplicity.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Ensuring that there is no modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in our business operations or supply chains.
- Implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to mitigate the risk of modern slavery.
- Raising awareness and providing training to relevant staff on recognising and preventing modern slavery.
Supplier and Partner Expectations
We expect all suppliers, contractors, and business partners to uphold the same high standards. As part of our supplier due diligence, we may:
- Conduct risk assessments of suppliers and contractors.
- Require suppliers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Reserve the right to terminate relationships where non-compliance is identified.
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We identify and assess areas of potential risk in our business and supply chains, focusing on industries, regions, or suppliers where the risk of modern slavery is higher. Where risks are identified, we will take appropriate action, which may include:
- Auditing suppliers.
- Working with suppliers to improve practices.
- Ending contracts where compliance cannot be achieved.
Training and Awareness
If there are risks that arise in the course of business we will provide training to staff, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supply chain management, to ensure they understand and can identify the risks of modern slavery.
Reporting Concerns
Employees, suppliers, and partners are encouraged to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking. Reports can be made through:
- Direct reporting to line managers or HR.
We will ensure that concerns are investigated promptly and fairly, and that no one suffers retaliation for reporting in good faith.
Governance and Review
Responsibility for this policy rests with the CEO. This policy will be reviewed annually and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, best practice, and our business activities.
Public Statement
Where required under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Cemplicity will publish an annual Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement on our website, detailing the steps we have taken to ensure compliance.
