Cemplicity is the world leader in patient reporting software.

We exist to help solve an increasingly important challenge in health systems. Globally, populations are increasing, people are living longer, have more long-term conditions and there is less money to treat them. Something has to give.

That’s where we come in. Cemplicity is a software company that helps transform the quality and efficiency of healthcare services by bringing a complete, timely and easy-to-understand view of patients’ experiences and health outcomes to the people making decisions about their care.

Our office is based in the bustling central Auckland district of Britomart; surrounded by top eateries, shopping, great public transport and a short lunchtime stroll to our beautiful harbour.

We have clients across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland, with significant interest in other geographies. Clients include all New Zealand District Health Boards, all 1,200+ general practices (through the Ministry of Health), nearly 100 private hospital facilities across Australia, all public hospitals in Ireland through the Irish Government as well as private hospital groups, and a diagnostics provider in the United Kingdom.

Our technology is internationally leading, our focus on global expansion.

We are one of NZ Trade and Enterprise’s 500 ‘focus’ companies (in their F700), have an R&D Growth grant from Callaghan Innovation and receive grants from NZTE to help with market expansion in the United Kingdom.

We are an extremely proud team of diverse misfits in a period of rapid growth. Investing in our sales and marketing efforts, this opportunity is perfect for building your SaaS sales career.

So – What is this opportunity about?

The Sales Development Executive role is the first step in Cemplicity’s sales cycle and will give you complete visibility over our enterprise level sales process. The role is for someone who loves talking to people, listening to what they need and deciding if our technology will be a good fit for them.

It’s also as much about listening as talking, asking the right questions and finding out who is in a position to make a purchase. It needs someone with a dynamic, outgoing personality, with strong English skills and an empathy for patients and how they can be served by the health system. It is for someone with a good sense of humour, one who is not put off by hearing a “No thanks” or “not right now” to find the next sales lead.

This is a sales-focussed role for the digitally savvy; someone who can work through problems on their own to get a solution – whether it be refining a cold sales email to get the best result from leads, trying out innovative ways to capture new sales opportunities or testing different cake recipes on our Growth Manager because you love to bake*.

*Not an actual requirement…

The sky is the limit for professional growth at Cemplicity.

We build our team with only the best candidates – top to bottom – and with diverse backgrounds. From soldiers to accountants, auto-electricians to science fiction authors. Our relaxed company culture and desire to remain nimble means our new Sales Development Executive will thrive in this role with minimal bureaucracy, and maximum humour.

Got it. So what does an Sales Development Executive’s typical day look like?

They say bullet lists are the best way to lose your audience’s attention in less than 3 seconds. So, we’re using a word cloud.

Fig. 1 – Choice

Clear as mud? No? Okay, well, here’s a bullet list showing how our new word-cloud-indifferent Sales Development Executive’s typical day might look:

  1. Finding Sales Targets – identifying organisations and key economic decision makers within the organisations to contact in our target markets.
  2. Recruiting and Qualify Leads – responsible for prospecting and qualifying new sales leads. Contacting potential customers by telephone and/or email to secure sales appointments.
  3. Identifying Tenders – searching for and monitoring key tender sites for suitable opportunities for our technology.
  4. Documenting Interactions – accurately record all interactions in our CRM, Salesforce.
  5. Nurturing Contacts – cultivate prospects through regular follow up and contact.
  6. Improving Sales Operations – own Salesforce from an operational perspective – build reports and be vocal with smart ideas to use the system in innovative ways.
  7. Supporting Sales Efforts – support or administrative coordination of other sales staff / executives.

Essentially our Sales Development Executive will research our target segments and geographies to identify the most likely organisations in need of our technology. Then, reach out to targets using an agreed cadence and approach with professional language and demeanor.

They will be keen to constantly refine the process to what they see working best and develop a rapport with targets – streamlining our sales-ops processes with smart automation, A/B testing and KPI reporting for management and the broader team.

This is a client-facing role such that you create empathy and take professional approach to tease out issues at each target organisation.
